Register in person at KHS from 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, and Friday, Oct. 2.
We will accept online registrations and donations to Woofstock through this website until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2.
Register at Woofstock on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. at any blue and white registration tent. Tents are located at the north and south ends of the park.
Start your day with the Woofstock "Woof, Walk & Wag", a fun short walk for you and your dog that kicks off Woofstock.
After the walk, join the fun all day long like groovy pet contests, cool dog demos, live bands, a hip silent auction and our Paws and Play area just for pets and kids.
Collecting donations is fun and you’ll also win lots of grr-eat prizes for you and your pet. Every dollar goes to providing care and comfort to over 18,000 homeless Wichita pets this year.
Woof, Wag & Walk
We’ve spiffed up Woofstock this year by combining last year’s Mutt Strutt and Fun Run into one big walk of fun called: Woof, Wag & Walk.
This leisurely 1.5 mile fundraising walk kicks off Woofstock and is a fun way to help you raise funds. How? You, your friends, and your dogs join together to make a team or go solo with your dog and ask people to sponsor you in the Woof, Wag & Walk.
Not an early bird or not interested in walking? Join us online as a “Virtual Walker” and come out later in the day to enjoy Woofstock.
Groovy Activities All Day Long
Woofstock Registration – 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Help us care for Wichita’s homeless pets with your $25 donation or more. All registrants will receive an official Woofstock 2009 t-shirt and goodie bag!
Woof, Walk & Wag – 9:30 a.m. – Starts at the Stage – You and your pack can woof, walk and wag your way through a 1.5 mile scenic path through the park.
Water Retrieval - KHS staff will show you how to teach your dog to jump safely from the dock, retrieve an item, come back to you and then let your pup try. Your dog must be able to swim, retrieve objects on land and come when called to participate. $ Donation to KHS Requested
Agility – Wichita Dog Training Club shows you how to get your dog in gear with cool agility demonstrations and then let’s you try. $ Donation to KHS Requested
Pet Psychic - Liz Fisher is back! She’ll use her special gift to tell you what your dog’s thinking, what he was doing before he met you and much more. $ Fee
Paws & Play - Fun for kids and pets with balloon bounces Bowser and Tigger from Celebrations, Pawtrait painting, treats in the Digging and Bobbing Pools, and face painting.
Grab a bite at one of our Fantastic Eateries - 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. - In the Park - including the Dog Daze Deli where 100% of the proceeds benefit the Kansas Humane Society!
Shopping - 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. - In the Park – Over 80 pet-friendly vendors, rescue groups and more await you.
Silent Auction - 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. - In the Park – Bid on over $30,000 in grr-eat stuff for you, your pet and your home. Auction ends at 2:30 p.m., Items may be picked up between 2:30 – 3 p.m.
Best Dressed Dog Contest – 10:45 a.m. – At the Stage
KHS Dog Behavior Consultations - 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – In the Park – Digging, chewing, barking, or other behaviors with Fido have you at your wit’s end? Meet with our KHS staff and get positive, humane solutions for improving your pet’s behavior. $ Donation to KHS Requested
Canine Good Citizen - 11:00 am, 1 pm. – In the Park – Does your dog have the best manners on the block? Let him strut his stuff to earn his American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen evaluation. $20 Fee
Ruff Races – 11 a.m. Small Dogs, 12 p.m. Medium Dogs, 1 p.m. Large Dogs – In the Park – See how fast your dog really is. Enter this fun competition for the title of the fastest four feet in Wichita. Trophies will be awarded to the Fastest Big, Medium and Small Dogs.
Dance to the classic rock sounds of Rockinhorse - 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. – At the Stage
Top Dog Prizes Awarded for Teams, Individual at Youth and Adult Levels – 1 p.m. – At the Stage
Bill and Denver’s Dog and Human Look-a-Like Contest – 1:15 p.m. - In memory of Bill Alexander – At Woofstock Stage
Doggie Musical Chairs Game – 2:15 p.m. - Get your dog to “sit” when the music stops. – At Woofstock Stage
Movies for a Year Prize Drawing – 2:30 p.m. – At the Stage – Winner announced for the Win a Year of Movies from Warren Theatres drawing. Winner receives a year of free movies for four plus $240 in gift certificates to spend on tasty snacks at any Warren Theatre. Enter from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the KHS Souvenir Tent or the Warren Theatre’s tent. $5 donation is requested per entry or receive 5 entries for a $20 donation. No purchase necessary to win.
